The Clark Group, LLC (TCG) attended the 45th Annual Conference of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) in Québec City, Canada last week. The conference brought together environmental assessment professionals from around the world to discuss this year’s theme: “Misinformation, Disinformation, Communication, & Impact Assessment.”
From conversations around public trust and stakeholder engagement to innovative approaches for communicating complex environmental and regulatory information, IAIA26 highlighted the critical role that transparent, science-based communication plays in effective impact assessment.
Lisa Mahoney, President of TCG, reflects on her experience, saying, “I walked away from this conference inspired by the many professionals around the world doing thoughtful, creative and impactful work in environmental impact assessment. The sense of collaboration among practitioners from diverse backgrounds was palpable, and I’m excited to apply what I learned in my day to day work.”
