TCG is Awarded a New Contract to Support the Northern Border Regional Commission with NEPA Compliance

The Clark Group, LLC has been awarded a new contract by the Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) to support compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and associated environmental requirements. TCG will be providing direct assistance and guidance to NBRC on compliance matters, including reviews of environmental documentation for completeness and accuracy and strategic advice on how to navigate the multitude of environmental laws and regulations applicable to NBRC funded projects.

The NBRC is a Federal-State partnership for economic and community development in northern Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York. The NBRC was established by Congress in 2008, to improve the economies of the region through investments in: infrastructure necessary to support private investment, workforce development to meet the needs of transitioning business sectors, and community development that revitalizes the economies of the region’s traditional downtowns. Each year, the NBRC provides federal funds for critical economic and community development projects throughout the northeast. These investments lead to new jobs being created and leverage substantial private sector investments.

In recent years, the NBRC’s funding has increased and the types of projects seeking NBRC funding have become more complex, requiring more involved environmental analysis. TCG looks forward to working with NBRC and providing our expertise to ensure NEPA compliance for NBRC projects, as the scope of NBRC’s funding continues to grow to best serve the communities in the region.
