Jess Wymer is an Associate located in Montpelier, Vermont. She specializes in environmental policy and compliance, public engagement and outreach, policy research and analysis, and project and program administration.
Ms. Wymer joined TCG in 2017 after earning her B.S. in Environmental Studies at the University of Vermont with a concentration in ecology and policy. While working on her undergraduate degree, she served as administrative staff for Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin and his Executive Team. Ms. Wymer also earned a master’s degree in Environmental Law and Policy (MELP) from Vermont Law School with a concentration in climate law, adaptation, and mitigation.
She has managed projects for local initiatives on behalf of clients including the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation and the Chittenden Area Transportation Management Association. She has also supported projects as an environmental specialist, public engagement specialist, and as administrative support for clients such as the Environmental Protection Agency, US Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Land Management, US Department of Justice, National Capital Planning Commission, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and US Department of Agriculture.
Ms. Wymer is from Bergenfield, NJ and relocated to Burlington, VT in 2013. She volunteers with the Burlington node of 350.org and with Nightshade Kitchen, an organization that works to connect local food and music with the Burlington community. In her free time, she enjoys biking, skiing, live music, and having a laugh at the Vermont Comedy Club.
